What is Author? #

RequesBite Author is a built-in editor for creating and maintaining OpenAPI 3.1 specifications directly in HQ.

It provides a structured, form-based interface for managing every part of an API definition — info, servers, paths and operations, parameters, request bodies, responses, schemas, examples, headers, security schemes, and tags — without having to hand-write YAML or JSON.

Author also includes a Code view that shows the generated OpenAPI definition in real time, and supports importing existing OpenAPI/Swagger specs to continue editing them.

Beta status #

Author is currently in beta and under active development. The core editing experience is functional, but features, layouts, and workflows may still change as we refine the experience and add additional functionality.
